I finally started up a facebook fan page for my work.
I figured it would be a lot easier for some to keep up with news and updates regarding my work.
You can click here to follow it.
I'd like to thank everyone so much for the ongoing support that I've been receiving....

'hell is asking to be loved...''

Just to make mention, the 10 copies of my book with a limited edition print have been sold. Congratulations to those ten people. I will be ordering a few more books in to sell at Toronto Outdoor Art. If you would still like a copy of my book you can order directly through blurb, following this link...

UPDATE*: For these 10 people whom I've attempted to ship books out to... there is currently a postal strike/lockout all over the country. I did successfully mail a few of your packages out the day before the strike was called, but can't ensure that they've been sent. I apologize for the inconvenience but assure you that your packages will all arrive soon!

book + print giveaway + updates

For the past several months, I have been working on my first, self-published book through 'Blurb'.
It is (finally) done, and ready to share with everyone.
The content of the book consists of a selection of my photographs and some written excerpts- similar to the format of my blog.

Would you like a signed copy of the book, as well as a free, signed, limited edition, silver gelatin print?
Send me an email at contact@rebeccacairns.com and I will personally ship a copy of 'GHOST' out to you with a bunch of other lovely things. Keep in mind, only the first 10 people who email me will receive a free print. After these 10 have been claimed, the book will only be available through Blurb! (I will, of course, inform everyone through another blog post once the 10 copies and prints have been claimed...). ( Also, just to clarify: the cost of the book and standard shipping charges will remain the same. However, if you are in Toronto, I can hand deliver the book to save you the cost of shipping!)

ANOTHER UPDATE:
I will be participating in the 50th annual Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition (TOAE) in July.
If you are in or around the city on July 8th, 9th, or 10th, pop by booth #296 at Nathan Phillips Square and say hello! I will be selling and showcasing a lot of work and will be surrounded by many other talented artists. (I will also probably be very hot and tired, and maybe even sunburned, so please feel free to bring me water or a blow up swimming pool.)
