exhausted

yellow spider, yellow leaf

confirms my deepest held belief

I do not exist, we faithfully insist

then came a thunder

shattering my window

but you were not that strong wind

or that mighty sound

Somedays you're like an anchor on my heart

more like rotten milk and rancid meat to me

spill white ribbons from your cheekbones

dreams of an old room with white plaster windows

and ghosts that would come as they go

burn your paper fingers in the ashtray

if i were beautiful, subtle and touchable

to linger, to suckle and lie in my bath water

something else is in front, oh, you're behind

how'd I end up on the ground?

here comes the fish head singing

here comes the baked potato in drag

here comes another night of no sleep
